Message The law allows you to put ANY motor from the same year and manufacturer of your car into your vehicle as long as the motor is for use in your state. The law requires you to notify your DMV for extensive changes. But NOWHERE does it say you are required to notify your insurance company for such a modification.

An engine swap of this nature can be considered a modification. Your car is covered as a stock vehicle unless you explicitly tell them you want the conversion (or modification in this case) covered on your policy.

I'm not saying try to hide the conversion from them, but they will cover you. You have more power than you think. It all depends on how you use your head. And why are you making it such a big deal? Believe me, it's NOT such a big deal.
